Our in house sheet metal fabrication is a service to our customers because our quality can never be compromised. Every roof has unique challenges and often a stock part is not sufficient to properly waterproof your roof. Now we can offer custom products to our customers to handle any situation and help facilitate custom and complex roof system replacements. Additionally ornamental accents or copper chimney caps (for instance) can be fabricated to give your home a unique high end look.

How are permits handled?

Northmen Roofing has permitting specialist on staff to handle your local city/county requirements for residential and commercial roofing repairs and replacements. The permitting process can be very burdensome for a home owner and if done incorrectly can jeopardize insurance coverage and rates, possibly scare away potential buyers and/or lower resale value. Note that most repairs do not require a permit.

Our management spent many years as service technicians for the largest roofing contractors in town specifically working on warranty and service repairs.

How did you get started doing this type of work?

Northmen Roofing is a family owned business - a family that has always believed in hard work, sacrifice and "getting your hands dirty". Many years were spent learning various trades, eventually honing skills as a master carpenter and then getting into the roofing business as an expert at solving complex problems with high quality results.

What types of customers have you worked with?

While we specialize in high end roofing system repairs (spanish tile, slate tile, clay tile and commercial roofing) Northmen Roofing works with all residential, multi-family and commercial customers and roof types found in Central Florida with the exception of high rise commercial buildings.

What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Listen to your gut. If you feel like you are being "sold" a roof, over charged, getting a quote for a new roof when a repair will likely get the work done, you cannot get a hold of your project manager or you receive pricing sight unseen these are probably not your best sources for a new roof or repair. Your roof is one of the most costly parts of your home and a failing roof can cause substantial damage. Do not be afraid to insist on a professionals opinion and ask any questions needed.

I have a large roof replacement pending and I do not have the time or expertise to properly manage the job. Or, the job is underway and it is not going as planned. What help can I get?

Northmen Roofing provides consulting services for just this purpose. Professional roof consultants have specialized knowledge and experience that most home or business owners do not have. Architects and engineers must keep up with codes but are not dedicated specifically to roofing, especially new technologies, materials and processes. As a representative of the home or business owner we do not operate with an affiliation to a roofing manufacturers or contractors which helps facilitate a trusted, unbiased and independent third-party resource. We are experienced in maneuvering through the industries complexities and will work with you to develop a solution that is truly in your best interest.
